Empowering Young Minds Through Books and Learning

Library Project / Reading Culture

At Sundar Sanskar and Swadhyay Mandal, we believe in the power of knowledge and the transformative potential of education. With a deep commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for reading, we are proud to introduce our Library Project, dedicated to Government schools in PCMC. Our mission is clear - to establish libraries in Government schools across PCMC, providing students with access to a treasure trove of books and fostering a culture of reading and learning. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of reading and the limitless world of knowledge it unlocks.

Weekly Book Distribution

To encourage reading, we distribute books to students on a weekly basis. Every child in the participating schools will receive a new book to explore and enjoy. Along with the books, students will receive a questionnaire, encouraging them to share what they’ve learned from the books. This feedback not only helps us gauge their comprehension but also aids in understanding their intellectual growth.

Nurturing Young Minds

Our Library Project is not just about distributing books; it’s about nurturing young minds. By regularly engaging with students and collecting feedback, we can tailor our book selections to suit their interests and needs. This, in turn, helps us in the holistic development of the children and enhances their IQ.

What We Provide

For this project, the Sanstha is fully committed to providing the necessary resources, including:

Primary School Focus

Our Library Project primarily targets primary school students as we believe that building a strong reading foundation during these formative years has a profound impact on a child’s future educational journey. By instilling a love for reading at an early age, we hope to set them on a path to lifelong learning.

When and How

This enriching activity is conducted once a week, with each session lasting for three hours. During this time, students have the opportunity to explore the world of books, engage in storytelling, and share their thoughts through the provided questionnaires.

Implementation:

Currently, we are working with five Government schools to help establish in-house libraries. These libraries will be stocked with a diverse range of books, carefully curated to cater to the interests and age groups of the students. Our aim is to make books an integral part of the students' daily lives.
